Your go-to-place for high quality Edo language learning materials and resources.

We have specifically created this platform for you if you are:

of Edo origin but were never taught the language by your parents.

of Edo origin but have very little knowledge of the Edo language, especially in reading and writing.

a non-Edo spouse of an Edo native.

a person of African-descent (e.g. African American, Afro-Brazilian, etc.) who wants to connect to their African roots by learning an African language.

an Edo native speaker who understands and speaks the language fluently but wants to gain a deeper understanding of the grammar and also improve your ability to write in Edo language.

a non-Edo person currently living or will soon be living in Edo State, Nigeria.

someone with no Edo heritage at all who, out of association with Edo people (e.g. through friendship, business relationships, neighborhood, travel, etc.) has gained interest in the Edo language and culture. Perhaps your interest might also stem from your knowledge of historical facts about the Great Benin Empire.
